By Air: the gentle way in. Scheduled light-aircraft flights connect Entebbe International Airport to Kihihi Airstrip, the gateway to northern Bwindi, in a little over an hour. You trade a full day’s drive for a window seat over Lake Victoria, the Rift Valley, and the forest itself.
From Kihihi, our team meets you for a short, scenic transfer to the lodge. This is the option most of our guests choose, and the one we most often recommend.
By Road: the scenic immersion. The drive from Kampala runs roughly eight to nine hours through the heart of the country, tea estates, equator crossings, and the long climb into the Kigezi highlands. It is a beautiful, full day on the road, best broken with an overnight en route. We are happy to arrange a private vehicle and driver-guide for the journey.
